Before becoming a therapist, Sam worked as both a first responder and in the corporate world. These experiences gave her firsthand insight into high-pressure environments, chronic stress, and what it can feel like to always be the one others depend on. Today, she brings that understanding into her work as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and founder of Steady Bloom Psychotherapy & Wellness.

Sam works with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the emotional demands that can accompany fertility, pregnancy, and parenthood. She has a particular interest in supporting first responders, professionals, and individuals who spend much of their lives caring for others while struggling to prioritize themselves.

Sam believes therapy should feel like a genuine conversation rather than a place where you need to have everything figured out. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, combining evidence-based therapies with genuine curiosity and compassion. She works alongside clients to better understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck while building meaningful and sustainable change.

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and person-centred therapy, Sam tailors treatment to each client’s unique goals and needs.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find Sam spending time with family and friends, travelling, discovering new restaurants, or with her toy poodle, Scottie.
